What This Document Contains

When You'll Need This

Who Can Request This

This service is for any former foreign resident of Korea who now needs proof of that legal residence history authenticated for use abroad — including former visa holders applying for a foreign visa, immigration program, or bank KYC check that asks for a verified residence and visa history. You do not need a Korean bank account, Korean mobile number, or Digital Certificate (Joint Certificate) — a signed power of attorney and identity verification are enough for us to request the certificate on your behalf.

Documents You'll Need

Once your consultation is confirmed and payment is complete, we'll email you the exact checklist of documents required for your case — no need to gather everything upfront.

Getting This From Abroad: Your Options

There are two ways to get a Foreigner Registration Fact Certificate authenticated for use abroad once you've left Korea.

Option 1 — Handle it yourself. You can request the certificate directly from the Immigration Office (which requires Korean identity verification, and in many cases an in-person visit or a Korean-resident representative), then bring it to Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for an Apostille, or to your destination country's embassy or consulate in Korea for Consular Confirmation. This is possible without a service, but it typically requires a trip back to Korea or a Korean resident acting on your behalf.

Option 2 — Use GetKoreanDocs. We request the certificate on your behalf, complete the Apostille or Consular Confirmation, and ship the finished document to you internationally, without you needing to set foot in Korea.
