We manage your Korean diploma and transcript verification from request through delivery — wherever your job application is headed. Diploma and transcript verification issued by your Korean university, authenticated for a job application — at home or abroad.
Employers outside Korea frequently require degree verification as part of the hiring process, particularly for roles with specific educational requirements. This isn't limited to employers in a third country — someone who studied in Korea and is now applying for a job back in their home country runs into the exact same requirement. Foreign nationals who studied in Korea are commonly asked to provide an authenticated diploma and transcript, sometimes routed through a third-party degree verification service used by the employer's HR department. This is most common for former international students who studied in Korea on a D-2 visa and are now applying for jobs in their home country or elsewhere.
Korean university registrar offices generally require a Korean student ID login, in-person visit, or Korean mobile verification to issue academic records. Once an applicant has left Korea, these access methods are typically no longer available, creating delays right when a job offer may be time-sensitive.
This service is for anyone who completed a degree program at a Korean university and now needs that degree or transcript authenticated for a job application abroad — including foreign nationals who studied in Korea on a D-2 student visa, Korean nationals living overseas, and returning graduates applying to employers who require credential verification. You do not need to be currently enrolled, and you do not need a Korean bank account, Korean mobile number, or Digital Certificate (Joint Certificate) to use this service — a signed power of attorney and identity verification are enough for us to request the records on your behalf.
WES (World Education Services), ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators), and ICAS (International Credential Assessment Service) are independent organizations based in the United States and Canada — not Korean or government agencies. They review a foreign degree and transcript and explain what it's equivalent to within the U.S. or Canadian education system.
When a university, employer, immigration program (such as Canada's Express Entry), or licensing board asks for a "credential evaluation" or "ECA" (Educational Credential Assessment), they're asking you to have your Korean diploma and transcript reviewed by one of these agencies — not simply authenticated. This is different from an Apostille, which only confirms a document is genuine. A credential evaluation goes a step further and explains what the degree actually means in the receiving country's terms.
Which agency you need — WES, ECE, or ICAS — depends on your destination country and the purpose of your application. Your receiving institution will typically tell you which one they accept; if you're not sure, let us know during your consultation and we can help you confirm it.
There are two ways to get a Korean degree or transcript authenticated for use abroad once you've left Korea.
Option 1 — Handle it yourself. You can request the document directly from your Korean university's registrar (which may require an in-person visit or a Korean-verified online account), then bring it to Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for an Apostille, or to your destination country's embassy or consulate in Korea for Consular Confirmation. This is possible without a service, but it typically requires either a trip back to Korea or a Korean resident acting on your behalf, plus separate visits to the university, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and, if applicable, the embassy.
Option 2 — Use GetKoreanDocs. We request the document from your university, complete the Apostille or Consular Confirmation, and ship the finished document to you internationally — without you needing to set foot in Korea or coordinate between separate offices yourself.
Three ways to complete authentication, depending on where — and to whom — your documents are going.
Covers issuance and Hague Apostille certification, for destination countries that are Hague Convention members.
Final pricing depends on your destination country's embassy or consulate in Korea, and is confirmed during your consultation.
Your Korean institution seals the document and adds a reference number, and we send it directly to your credential evaluation agency (WES, ECE, ICAS, etc.) — bypassing the apostille/consular process entirely.
01
Tell us which document you need and where it's being submitted. No Korean phone number, Digital Certificate (Joint Certificate), or physical visit required on your end — you sign a power of attorney and provide identity verification, and we handle the rest directly with the issuing agency.
02
We request the document on your behalf from your Korean university or institution's registrar office.
03
Depending on the package you choose, we complete an Apostille or Consular Confirmation, or send your documents directly to your credential evaluation agency (WES/ECE/ICAS).
04
Your completed documents are shipped directly to your address, or to your evaluation agency, anywhere in the world.
Yes. We request the document from your Korean university and complete the Apostille or Consular Confirmation on your behalf, without you needing to visit Korea in person.
No — during your consultation we'll confirm exactly which documents are needed for your case; in most cases we request the document to be freshly issued directly by your university's registrar, on your behalf.
An Apostille or Consular Confirmation only verifies that your Korean diploma or transcript is genuine. A credential evaluation from WES, ECE, or ICAS goes further and explains what your degree is equivalent to in the receiving country's education system. Which one you need depends on what your employer is asking for — let us know during your consultation and we'll help confirm it.
Apostille and Consular Confirmation packages generally take 8 or more business days to process, not including international shipping. WES/ECE/ICAS direct submission takes about 10 business days. Exact timing depends on your university and destination country, and is confirmed during your consultation.
Yes. We can ship your completed documents to your own address, to your employer, or directly to a credential evaluation agency — wherever you need them to go.
That's common — tell us your destination country and what your employer is requesting during your free consultation, and we'll confirm the correct authentication path before anything is charged.
